Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spread the peach mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
