- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar.
- Add in the molasses and egg, mixing well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Spread the batter evenly in a greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let it cool before cutting into bars.
