- 1 cup sourdough starter
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt

- For glaze: 1 cup powdered sugar, 2 tbsp milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix sourdough starter, sugar, and milk.
- Add eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir to combine.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until smooth.
- Cover and let dough rise for 1-2 hours.
- Roll out dough and cut into donut shapes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry donuts until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
- Dip warm donuts in glaze and let set.
