Description

Gordon Ramsay’s tiramisu is a creamy Italian classic that combines coffee-soaked ladyfingers with a rich mascarpone mixture.


Ingrédients

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 1/4 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 24 ladyfingers
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a bowl until pale.
  2. Heat milk in a saucepan, then slowly pour into the egg mixture while whisking.
  3. Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook until thickened.
  4. Remove from heat, let cool, then fold in mascarpone.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form and fold into mascarpone mixture.
  6. Combine coffee and coffee liqueur in a shallow dish.
  7. Dip ladyfingers in coffee mixture and layer them in a dish.
  8. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  9. Repeat layers and finish with remaining mascarpone.
  10. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
  11. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
