Description
Green beans almondine is a simple and elegant side dish featuring sautéed green beans and toasted almonds.

- 1 pound fresh green beans
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- Salt to taste
- Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Trim the ends of the green beans.
- Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add green beans and blanch for 3 minutes.
- Drain and immediately transfer the beans to an ice bath.
- In a skillet, heat butter and olive oil over medium heat.
- Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add green beans and cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Add toasted almonds and season with salt and pepper.
- Toss to combine and serve immediately.
Notes
- Ensure not to overcook the green beans.
- To toast almonds, place them in a dry skillet over medium heat until golden.
