A traditional Haitian Thanksgiving meal featuring rich flavors and cultural significance.
Ingrédients

- 2 lbs of turkey
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1/4 cup of fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup of lime juice
- 2 tsp of thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 cups of rice
- 2 cups of black beans
- 1/2 cup of corn
- 1 avocado, sliced
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, onion, bell peppers, parsley, lime juice, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the mixture all over the turkey.
- Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover it with foil.
- Roast the turkey for about 2 hours, removing foil for the last 30 minutes.
- Cook rice according to package instructions.
- In a separate pot, heat black beans and corn together.
- Serve the turkey with rice, beans, corn, and sliced avocado.
Notes
- Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Pair with a salad for a complete meal.
