- 2 pounds frozen hash browns
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the hash browns, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, melted butter, onion, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese.
- Spread the mixture evenly in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, until bubbly and golden brown.
Notes
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and refrigerated before baking.
- Try adding cooked bacon or ham for extra flavor.
