Description
A classic homemade banana pudding made with fresh bananas and creamy vanilla pudding.
Ingrédients

- 2 ripe bananas
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
- Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
- Slice bananas and layer them in a serving dish.
- Pour half of the pudding over the bananas.
- Add a layer of crushed vanilla wafers.
- Repeat layers with remaining bananas, pudding, and wafers.
- Whip heavy cream and spread over the top.
- Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can substitute wafers with graham crackers.
