A classic homemade banana pudding made with fresh bananas and creamy vanilla pudding.


Ingrédients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup crushed vanilla wafers

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt.
  2. Gradually whisk in milk until smooth.
  3. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  5. Slice bananas and layer them in a serving dish.
  6. Pour half of the pudding over the bananas.
  7. Add a layer of crushed vanilla wafers.
  8. Repeat layers with remaining bananas, pudding, and wafers.
  9. Whip heavy cream and spread over the top.
  10. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for the best flavor.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • Can substitute wafers with graham crackers.
