A simple and flavorful homemade marinara sauce.
Ingrédients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 cans (28 ounces each) crushed tomatoes
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, sugar, oregano, and basil.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to a week.
- This sauce can be frozen for up to three months.
