- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 pound mozzarella cheese, cut into sticks
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Set up a breading station with flour, beaten eggs, and breadcrumbs.
- Dip each mozzarella stick in flour, then in eggs, and finally in breadcrumbs.
- Place breaded sticks on a tray and freeze for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve warm with marinara sauce.
Notes
- Freezing helps keep the cheese from melting too quickly.
- You can add spices to the breadcrumbs for extra flavor.
- Make sure oil is hot enough before frying.
