Description
A traditional Italian Thanksgiving dinner featuring classic dishes.
Ingrédients
- Roast turkey – 1 (12 lb)
- Olive oil – 1/4 cup
- Garlic – 6 cloves, minced
- Fresh rosemary – 2 tbsp, chopped
- Fresh thyme – 2 tbsp, chopped
- Salt – to taste
- Pepper – to taste
- Stuffing – 4 cups
- Green beans – 1 lb
- Parmesan cheese – 1/2 cup, grated
- Pumpkin pie – 1 (9-inch)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Rub turkey with olive oil, garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff turkey with stuffing mixture.
- Place turkey in roasting pan and cover with foil.
- Roast for 2 to 2.5 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
- In the last 30 minutes, remove foil to brown the skin.
- Steam green beans and toss with parmesan cheese.
- Serve turkey with stuffing and green beans.
- Slice pumpkin pie for dessert.
Notes
- Let turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
- Use leftover turkey for sandwiches.
- Make stuffing a day ahead for best flavor.
