Description

Ingrédients

  • 1 whole turkey (1012 lbs)
  • 2 tablespoons allspice
  • 1 tablespoon thyme
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups rice
  • 1 can black beans, rinsed
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 cup corn
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix allspice, thyme, garlic, onion, soy sauce, vegetable oil, salt, and pepper.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the turkey.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  5. Roast for 2.5 to 3 hours, basting occasionally.
  6. In a pot, cook rice according to package instructions.
  7. Stir in black beans, bell pepper, corn, and pineapple once rice is cooked.
  8. Serve turkey with rice and beans on the side.

  • Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
  • Use leftover turkey for sandwiches or soups.
