Description

Japanese New Year Soup, known as Zoni, is a traditional dish served during the New Year celebrations in Japan.


Ingrédients

  • 1 cup daikon radish, sliced
  • 1 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dashi broth in a pot over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced chicken and cook until no longer pink.
  3. Add daikon and carrots, cooking until tender.
  4. Add mochi and cook until it softens.
  5. Stir in soy sauce and mirin.
  6. Add spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Season with salt to taste.
  8. Serve hot in bowls.
