A hearty lasagna casserole layered with pasta, cheese, and meat sauce.

- 9 lasagna noodles
- 1 pound ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 15 ounces ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat; drain the fat.
- Add marinara sauce to the beef and simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- In a baking dish, spread some meat sauce on the bottom.
- Layer 3 noodles over the sauce, then spread half the ricotta mixture and a third of the mozzarella.
- Repeat the layers, ending with meat sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- Can be made ahead and stored in the fridge.
- Use vegetables for a healthier version.
