A simple and delicious make-ahead dressing for Thanksgiving.
Ingrédients

- 1 loaf of bread, cubed
- 1 cup of celery, chopped
- 1 cup of onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup of butter
- 2 cups of chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon of sage
- 1 tablespoon of thyme
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- 2 eggs, beaten
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
- Add celery and onion; sauté until softened.
- In a large bowl, combine bread cubes, sautéed vegetables, herbs, salt, and pepper.
- Pour chicken broth over bread mixture and mix well.
- Add beaten eggs and stir until combined.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 30-40 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- This dressing can be made a day ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- For a richer flavor, use homemade broth.
- Feel free to add cooked sausage or nuts for extra texture.
