  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups green beans
  • 1 cup chopped onions

Instructions

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes.
  2. Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add milk, butter, cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes. Mash until smooth.
  5. Blanch green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes.
  6. Heat a skillet and sauté onions until golden brown.
  7. Mix green beans with sautéed onions.
  8. Transfer the mashed potatoes and green beans to serving dishes.
  9. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
