Description
Traditional Malaysian cookies made for Chinese New Year celebrations.
Ingrédients

- 200g all-purpose flour
- 100g powdered sugar
- 100g unsalted butter
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 200g ground peanuts
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar.
- Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ground peanuts, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
- Form the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container.
- Can be decorated with icing if desired.
- These cookies are best enjoyed fresh.
