Description

Traditional Malaysian cookies made for Chinese New Year celebrations.


Ingrédients

  • 200g all-purpose flour
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 200g ground peanuts
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter and powdered sugar.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mix well.
  4. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, ground peanuts, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  6. Form the dough into small balls and place on a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden.
  8. Let cool before serving.

  • Store in an airtight container.
  • Can be decorated with icing if desired.
