  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder for frosting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in milk and vanilla extract.
  6. In a separate bowl, combine flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  8. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  11. Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and matcha powder until soft peaks form.
  12. Layer the cakes with frosting in between and on top.
