- 1 turkey (10-12 lbs)
- 2 cups of mole sauce
- 1 cup of chopped almonds
- 1 cup of raisins
- 1 cup of diced apples
- 1 cup of diced potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 cups of corn masa
- 1 cup of chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the turkey by cleaning and seasoning it.
- In a large pot, cook the onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add the mole sauce, almonds, raisins, apples, and potatoes.
- Stuff the turkey with the mixture and place it in a roasting pan.
- Pour chicken broth over the turkey.
- Cover with foil and roast for 2-3 hours, basting occasionally.
- Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes to brown the turkey.
- Let it rest before carving and serving.
Notes
- Serve with tamales and posole.
- Pair with Mexican hot chocolate.
