- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and cayenne.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, and mix well.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by tablespoon onto baking sheets.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are firm.
- Let cool on sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- For more spice, adjust the cayenne pepper.
- These cookies pair well with a glass of milk.
