  • 4 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat.
  4. Add flour and whisk for 2 minutes to create a roux.
  5. Slowly pour in milk and cream, whisking constantly until the mixture thickens.
  6. Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  7. Stir in cheese until melted and smooth.
  8. Combine cheese sauce with cooked macaroni.
  9. Transfer to a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly.
