Description

Mozzarella stuffed soft pretzels are delicious snacks made with soft dough and filled with gooey cheese.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups warm water (110°F to 115°F)
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup baking soda
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Coarse sea salt for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add flour and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes.
  4. Let the dough rise in a greased bowl for 30 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  6. Divide the dough into 12 pieces. Flatten each piece, add mozzarella, and shape into a pretzel.
  7. Boil water and baking soda in a pot. Boil each pretzel for 30 seconds.
  8. Place pretzels on a baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with coarse salt.
  9. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
