  • 1/4 cup of sugar
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 2 star anise
  • 1/4 cup of brandy (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the wine, sugar, and sliced fruits.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise.
  3. Warm the mixture over low heat. Do not boil.
  4. Let it simmer for about 15-20 minutes.
  5. If desired, stir in brandy before serving.
  6. Strain the mixture into mugs and serve warm.
