- 1 pound ground beef or lamb
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1 cup beef broth
- 4 cups mashed potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook until soft.
- Add carrots and cook for 5 minutes. Stir in ground beef or lamb and cook until browned.
- Mix in tomato paste and beef broth. Add peas, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish.
- Top with mashed potatoes, spreading evenly.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Notes
- You can use leftover mashed potatoes for quicker preparation.
- Substitute vegetables based on your preference.
- Let it cool slightly before serving.
