Ingrédients

- 1 pre-baked pie crust
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 3/4 cups milk
- 3 large egg yolks, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- whipped cream for topping
Instructions
- In a saucepan, whisk together sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually add milk, stirring constantly over medium heat until thickened.
- Whisk a small amount of the hot mixture into the beaten egg yolks.
- Return the egg mixture to the saucepan, stirring constantly.
- Cook for another 2 minutes, then remove from heat.
- Stir in butter and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour filling into the pre-baked pie crust.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
- Top with whipped cream before serving.

- Use high-quality cocoa powder for best flavor.
- Allow pie to chill completely for a better texture.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
