Description
A classic Canadian dessert with layers of chocolate, custard, and graham cracker.
Ingrédients

- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons custard powder
- 1/4 cup milk
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Instructions
- Melt 1/2 cup butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add granulated sugar and cocoa powder, mixing well.
- Stir in graham cracker crumbs and shredded coconut until combined.
- Press mixture into a greased 8×8 inch pan.
- In a bowl, mix powdered sugar, custard powder, milk, and remaining 2 tablespoons butter until smooth.
- Spread custard mixture over the base layer.
- Melt chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter together until smooth.
- Pour chocolate over custard layer and spread evenly.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Cut with a sharp knife for clean edges.
