Description

Nanaimo bars are a no-bake dessert with a layered structure featuring a crumb base, custard middle, and chocolate topping.


Ingrédients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup custard powder
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, shredded coconut, and butter.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a square baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, combine powdered sugar and custard powder. Mix with butter until smooth.
  4. Spread the custard mixture over the crumb base.
  5. Melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave. Stir until smooth.
  6. Pour the chocolate over the custard layer.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.

Notes

  • Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
