Description
Nanaimo bars are a no-bake dessert with a layered structure featuring a crumb base, custard middle, and chocolate topping.
Ingrédients

- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup shredded coconut
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup custard powder
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, cocoa powder, shredded coconut, and butter.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a square baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine powdered sugar and custard powder. Mix with butter until smooth.
- Spread the custard mixture over the crumb base.
- Melt chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave. Stir until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate over the custard layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before slicing.
Notes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark chocolate.
