Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  3. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Mix in vanilla extract.
  6. In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
  7. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with milk.
  8. Pour the batter into prepared pans.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the cakes in pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks.
  11. Once cooled, frost and decorate with fondant and edible glitter.
