A festive cake to celebrate the New Year.
Ingrédients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 1 cup assorted fruits for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in vanilla and almond extracts.
- In another bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
- Gradually add flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk.
- Pour batter into prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cakes cool before removing from pans.
- Decorate with assorted fruits before serving.

- Use fresh fruits for decoration.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Feel free to add frosting of your choice.
