Ingrédients

- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
- 1/2 teaspoon food coloring (red or green)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Bring to a boil without stirring until it reaches the hard ball stage (250°F).
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and peppermint extract.
- Add food coloring and stir until evenly mixed.
- Pour onto a greased marble slab or baking sheet.
- Let cool slightly, then knead until smooth.
- Shape into small candies or cut into pieces.
- Dust with powdered sugar to prevent sticking.
