Description

Classic old fashioned salmon patties made with canned salmon.


Ingrédients

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup celery, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Drain the canned salmon and remove any skin or bones.
  2. In a bowl, combine salmon, breadcrumbs, onion, celery, egg, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into patties.
  4. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from skillet and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  7. Serve warm with your choice of sauce.

  • You can add herbs like dill or parsley for extra flavor.
  • Serve with tartar sauce or lemon wedges.
