Description
One of the very best Salisbury steak, a comforting classic.
Ingrédients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tbsp flour
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned.
- Remove patties and set aside.
- Add mushrooms to the pan and sauté until tender.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to combine.
- Slowly add beef broth, stirring constantly.
- Return patties to the pan and simmer for 10 minutes.
Notes
- Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
- Make extra gravy for serving.
