Ingrédients

- 1 loaf of brioche bread, cut into thick slices
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup brown sugar for topping
Instructions
- Grease a baking dish.
- Arrange brioche slices in the dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cream, granulated sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
- Pour the mixture over the bread, ensuring all slices are soaked.
- Cover and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake for 45 minutes until golden and set.
- Sprinkle brown sugar on top and broil for a few minutes until caramelized.
Notes
- Use stale bread for better absorption.
- Can be prepared a day in advance.
- Serve with fresh fruit or syrup.
