A simple and delicious paleo-friendly Thanksgiving meal.


Ingrédients

  • 1 whole turkey (1214 lbs)
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 2 celery stalks, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons dried thyme
  • 2 teaspoons dried rosemary

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by removing the giblets and patting it dry.
  3. Rub olive oil all over the turkey.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Stuff the cavity with onion, carrots, and celery.
  6. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and pour vegetable broth around it.
  7. Roast the turkey for about 3 hours, basting every 30 minutes.
  8. Check the internal temperature; it should reach 165°F (75°C).
  9. Let the turkey rest for 20 minutes before carving.
