A delicious patty melt featuring a special secret sauce.


Ingrédients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 slices of rye bread
  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the onion in butter until caramelized.
  2. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the secret sauce.
  3. Form the ground beef into two patties and season with salt and pepper.
  4. Cook the patties in a skillet until desired doneness.
  5. Spread the secret sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
  6. Assemble the melt with a slice of cheese, a patty, caramelized onions, and another slice of cheese.
  7. Top with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
  8. Grill in the skillet until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
  9. Slice and serve hot.
