Description
A delicious patty melt featuring a special secret sauce.
Ingrédients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 slices of rye bread
- 4 slices of American cheese
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the onion in butter until caramelized.
- Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to make the secret sauce.
- Form the ground beef into two patties and season with salt and pepper.
- Cook the patties in a skillet until desired doneness.
- Spread the secret sauce on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the melt with a slice of cheese, a patty, caramelized onions, and another slice of cheese.
- Top with another slice of bread, sauce side down.
- Grill in the skillet until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust seasoning to your taste.
- Use different types of cheese if desired.
- Serve with pickles or chips on the side.
