Description
A traditional Persian dessert served during the New Year celebration.
Ingrédients

- 1 cup of rice
- 2 cups of milk
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp of cardamom
- 1/2 cup of rose water
- 1/4 cup of pistachios, chopped
- 1/4 cup of almonds, sliced
- 1/4 cup of dried fruits (like apricots and raisins)
Instructions
- Rinse the rice until the water runs clear.
- Soak the rice in water for 2 hours.
- In a pot, combine milk and sugar, and bring to a gentle boil.
- Add the soaked rice to the milk mixture.
- Stir in cardamom and rose water.
- Cook on low heat until rice is tender and mixture thickens.
- Pour the dessert into serving dishes.
- Garnish with pistachios, almonds, and dried fruits.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Adjust sugar according to your taste.
- Can be served warm or cold.
- Best enjoyed with a cup of tea.
