Description

A simple and delicious pork and sauerkraut dish made in a crockpot.


Ingrédients

  • 2 pounds pork shoulder
  • 1 jar sauerkraut (32 ounces)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 apples, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Place the pork shoulder in the crockpot.
  2. Add the sauerkraut, onion, and apples on top of the pork.
  3. Sprinkle caraway seeds over the mixture.
  4. Pour chicken broth into the crockpot.
  5. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the pork is tender.

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or bread.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
