Description

Potatoes au gratin is a creamy and cheesy potato dish baked to perfection.


Ingrédients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated cheese (Gruyere or Cheddar)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a baking dish with butter.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
  4. Mix cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg in a bowl.
  5. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
  6. Add half of the grated cheese on top.
  7. Repeat the layers with remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheese.
  8. Bake for 45-60 minutes until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
