Description
Creamy and cheesy potatoes au gratin baked to perfection.
Ingrédients

- 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Gruyere cheese
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons butter, for greasing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Grease a baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the dish.
- In a bowl, mix cream, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes.
- Sprinkle half of the cheddar and Gruyere cheese on top.
- Add the remaining potatoes and pour the rest of the cream mixture over them.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
Notes
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving.
- Use a mandolin for even potato slices.
