  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix garlic, olive oil, salt, pepper, rosemary, and thyme.
  3. Rub the mixture all over the prime rib roast.
  4. Place the roast in a roasting pan, bone side down.
  5. Roast in the oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (165°C) and continue roasting for 1.5-2 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
