Ingrédients

  • 1/2 cup of cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup of bacon bits
  • 1/4 cup of sofrito
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the mashed plantains, cheese, bacon bits, sofrito, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the beaten egg to the mixture and combine well.
  4. Form small balls or patties out of the mixture.
  5. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. Serve warm with dipping sauce.

Notes

  • You can use any type of cheese.
  • Feel free to add other ingredients like ground meat or vegetables.
