  • Pepper – to taste
  • Stuffing – 1 box (for turkey)
  • Green beans – 1 lb
  • Cranberries – 12 oz, fresh
  • Potatoes – 5 lbs
  • Heavy cream – 1 cup
  • Gravy – 2 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Prepare the turkey by rubbing it with butter, garlic, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the turkey with stuffing.
  4. Place the turkey in a roasting pan and cover with foil.
  5. Roast the turkey for about 3-4 hours, removing the foil in the last hour.
  6. While the turkey is roasting, boil the potatoes until tender.
  7. Drain and mash the potatoes, adding heavy cream, salt, and pepper.
  8. Steam the green beans until bright green.
  9. Prepare the cranberry sauce by simmering cranberries with sugar and water until they burst.
  10. Make the gravy using the turkey drippings.
  11. Carve the turkey and serve with sides.
