Ingrédients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 3 tablespoons meringue powder
  • 6 tablespoons water (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together butter and sugar.
  4. Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract to the butter mixture.
  5. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture.
  6. Roll out the dough and cut cookies into shapes.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
  8. Let cookies cool completely.
  9. In a bowl, combine powdered sugar, meringue powder, and water to make royal icing.
  10. Decorate cooled cookies with royal icing.
