Description

Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy is a classic comfort food dish featuring seasoned ground beef patties served with a rich mushroom gravy.


Ingrédients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 cup milk

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add mushrooms to the skillet and sauté until soft.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Gradually add beef broth and milk, stirring constantly until thickened.
  6. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
  • Feel free to add garlic or herbs for extra flavor.
