Description

Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy is a hearty dish made with seasoned ground beef, shaped into patties and served with a rich mushroom sauce.


Ingrédients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Form into patties.
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Cook patties until browned on both sides. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until softened.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir for 1 minute.
  5. Add beef broth and stir until thickened.
  6. Return patties to the skillet, cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Notes

  • Serve with mashed potatoes or rice.
  • Can use ground turkey for a lighter option.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
