Description
A festive plate of Santa cookies perfect for leaving out on Christmas Eve.
Ingrédients

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
- In another bowl, cream together butter, white sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
- Add vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture and mix well.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients.
- Stir in chocolate chips and walnuts.
- Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are golden.
- Cool on wire racks.
Notes
- Store cookies in an airtight container.
- Can be frozen for up to three months.
