  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1 tablespoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).
  2. Remove the turkey giblets and pat the turkey dry with paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, mix softened butter with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, rosemary, and paprika.
  4. Rub the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin and inside the cavity.
  5. Place the turkey on a roasting rack in a roasting pan.
  6. Roast the turkey in the oven for 3 to 4 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Let the turkey rest for 20-30 minutes before carving.
