- 1 pre-made pie crust
- 2 cups milk
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a saucepan, heat the milk until just boiling.
- In a bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and salt together.
- Slowly add the hot milk to the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over medium heat until thickened.
- Pour the custard into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until set.
- Let it cool before serving.
Notes
- Chill the pie for better texture.
- Top with whipped cream if desired.
