Description
A delicious and hearty smothered chicken dish cooked in a rich gravy.
Ingrédients

- 4 chicken breasts
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Season chicken with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Brown chicken on both sides, about 5 minutes each side.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Add onion and garlic to the skillet; sauté until soft.
- Stir in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Add chicken back to the skillet.
- Cover and cook for 20 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
- Serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with rice or mashed potatoes.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
