Ingrédients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 3 cups diced apples
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until fluffy.
  4. Add egg and vanilla to the butter mixture; mix well.
  5. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients; combine.
  6. Press half of the dough into a greased baking pan.
  7. In a separate bowl, toss apples with lemon juice and layer over the dough.
  8. Drop remaining dough on top of the apples.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Let cool before slicing into bars.
